An Expensive Lesson

Posted by

This past weekend, I scolded Roshawn for hooking up the hose in the backyard and not unscrewing it right away during this cold spell we have been experiencing during the early Spring. I feared that the hose would freeze and burst the pipe.

Yesterday (Sunday 3/30) It was warm out, so I decided to wash the cars.  I turned on the hose in the front yard, and there was very little water pressure.  Rahesha ran outside yelling in a panic saying “There is water coming into the basement turn the water off!”  Much to my disgust, instead of scolding Roshawn, I should have scolded myself because I left the hose hooked up in the front yard. It froze and burst!  I ended up paying $169 for my lack of attentiveness.
